Background

My work experience
My previous translation jobs include extensive translation of various legal and commercial documents, as well as interpreting. I also translated academic articles dealing with all aspects of  linguistics, terminology and translation theory.
I am also highly experienced in researching terminology, creating and maintainning glossaries  in various fields. 
In my translations, I use the latest online and offline tools, dictionaries and glossaries.

My education
I was born and raised in Republic of Moldova, where Romanian and Russian are administrative languages. In 2001, I graduated from the State University of Moldova with a bachelor’s degree in philology (specialised in Modern and Classic Languages – translator for French and English languages). The bachelor's thesis has the following title: “The slang of French youth and its translation”.
I have a master’s degree in Traductology and Terminology (in French and English) from the University Babes-Bolyai of Cluj-Napoca, Romania. 
In 2007, I became a sworn translator and interpreter certified by the Romanian Ministry of Justice (for French and English languages).
In 2010, I defended my doctoral thesis ("The terminology  of the penal international law in the Romanian and French documents (differences and correspondences)” at the University Babes-Bolyai of Cluj-Napoca, Romania. It was written in Romanian. You can find a French Summary here.
